Let's have a chat with our honored Mom Of the Month Katelyn to learn more about our village and celebrate the moms who make it what it is!

FIT4MOM East DuPage West Cook (EDWC): Tell us about who is in your family.

Katelyn (K): My husband Bryan, 1.5 year old son Leo, and our dog Addy. We also have a little boy joining our crew this spring!

Congrats mama! We're so excited for you!!

EDWC: Where is your hometown? What town do you live in now?

K: I grew up in Berwyn, and currently live in Lisle.

EDWC: What is/was your career?

K: I work in Human Resources for a law firm in the city.

EDWC: How long have you been with FIT4MOM East DuPage West Cook, and what has it done for you?

K: I joined Fit4Mom after my son Leo was born in the summer of 2022 and never looked back!

Katelyn has taken all the classes we currently offer but is most often at Eve's Saturday Morning Body Boost Class, if you want to meet her that's the class to be at!

EDWC: What is your favorite part about class?

K: I love the cardio sections during body boost. Big cardio girl!

EDWC: What is something that has surprised you about motherhood?

K: I never realized how impossible it is to eat a hot, peaceful dinner as a mom.

EDWC: What are three of your favorite things?

K: Reality TV, ice cream, and my family of course :)

Ice Cream is hands down my favorite treat as well, especially when I'm expecting like you are!

EDWC: What is your proudest mommy moment so far?

K: I don't have a proudest moment per se, just making it through the day makes me proud.

EDWC: What advice would you give to a new mother?

K: Try not to compare your child to other children at a similar age. Every child develops at their own pace.

Such a good reminder, there's no prize for finishing first!

EDWC: Anything else you'd like to add?

K: I'm very thankful for the FIT4MOM community for giving me my weekly "me time." It's always great catching up with other moms on their weekly stories, laughs and wins while getting in a good workout!
